Standard Chart Marathon will mark the last race for me this year but it's also the fact that this year isn't a good year for me.. Marathon training was a torture with all the strain coming in during my 35km run. When the training hit over 30km, everything start to give way..
If i know my left knee haven't fully recover from the strain, i won't go for it.. but well it's already done.. with a bad timing of 4hr 50min.. last year first marathon did 4hr 18min.. super PW this year.. after feeling the strain, i decided not to make it worst so after 30km. I got to force myself to walk fast... covering 7 - 8km per hour.. to my surprise, going at that kind of speed allow me to over take some of the runner that is jogging!
i just refuse to give up and take my time and walk.. wanted to jog but the pain is just too painful.. can't even lift up my left knee to run so i keep telling myself, if i going to walk. I need to walk fast. real fast to manage to hit a sub 5hr timing which is bad enough.
Guess this year training serious not enough so next year on, i got to spend a bit longer time training for my marathon.. i want to do a comfortable race next year with no strain and cramp which mean to say, i got to clock more mileage..
Well with the end of the race... I"M GOING OFF SEASON!!!! like so finally.. training will start next year..
